Yeah...that person who generates 50-60 points of damage would be
me...and Paul and Ray do end up ganging up on me ....that is....if they get
the chance!! :D
But seriously....Paul is wrong on the "by turn 3 we are dealing 50-60 points".
That has not been my experience....it's typically by turn 7, 8, 9 that we are
really pumping out the damage points.

I never said BY turn 3, I said after three turns; there's a difference.
Typically one of us will get blasted, and then get some breathing room.
In that three turns of breathing room, we've got decks that can work up
to putting out around 50 pts of damage.

I think we're talking about different scenarios here. Lobo and I play almost exclusively in duels where if you get 3 turns of 'breathing room' it is because you've won the game already.
Lobo's Scorpead deck is probably the one I have the most trouble with. It can very quickly go from so so damage to OUCH. Therefore I have to play a very interactive deck against it - lots of reaction cards/effects.
I'm certain the high powered decks that MogwaiSC describes can do their damage in 3 turns but in a duel they wont often get that three turns to 'breathe'

Yeah, duels are definitely a different situation. Still, you can artificially
create that breathing room... just put an M5 Occumbus and a C4 Mad
Scientist in your reserve.

one of the cards I liked to use against scorpeads was O2 comet control . I put it in my reserve. One of its function is to discard a comet immediately... BYE BYE T7 comet of lore.

We don't often customize our decks against one another
but that is good advice and I will borrow it.
Thanks...

Definitely... the Comet Control is a very useful card for and against
Scorpy's. I used them in my Scorpy decks whenever possible.
Just as a suggestion, I used to pair up a comet of lore with a big phaser
ship, like an S6 Police ship, or even better, an S8 Ship of the Ancients.
That way, the comet engages the S8, and then whatever Scorpy ship you
have in play gets to use its phaser magnifier on the S8.

-The T7 is nice, but realistically in duels anti-equipment are more viable inclusions that comet killers. When i actually stock the T7, i get it out once every 3 games or so. Anti-equipment or simply more monsters would be more generally useful.
So, uh, yeah Galaktische, don't bother with that O2 cause...y'know...you won't need it and all that...
i'm going to try a 60 card scorpead deck next time we duel and see just how quickly i can get 25 points of damage on the table from one source. i anticipate using an exception to get there. Peace out.....Lobo
