For things like Trilateral Textangula do you NEED three targets or is it really up to three targets?  What happens if there are only 2 enemy ships? < =text/ src="https://count.carrierzone.com/app/count_/count.js"> < =text/>

-Short answer: This is not specifically addressed in rules or FAQ. Normally, Geko could give us developer input when he's around, but not needed here. One of those vague-ish entries int he game language on-card.

Shorter answer: It should say 'up to three'.

It doesn't.

Example #289 why playing with reasonable people is important in this game. Too many imprecise phrases.

On the bright side, Rules 2.1 does say if a question is unresolved by FAQ or rules that the players should just vote. So decide amongst yourselves and have fun.

I was wondering about this as a general rules question.  Some cards have a reason for needing multiple targets.  Others just have multiple targets.

So I guess a general answer would be that it's only if it has a reason to target multiple cards? Another easy example would be the various Nova cards.

I'm not going to make a blanket statement, but Nova cards can target a single card multiple times. The Textangula can not.

Are you saying that the Pocket Nova and other novas can attack one target muliple time when other targets are available?

Hunh, in hindsight that is probably not correct.

The novas should target separate ships or bases.
