These cards read:

-Played in the engaged position.

-Allows one Time Knight with a fleet strenght of 9(Stregth 3 for the S1) or less to shift from the time origon to the active fleet.

-Discard after use during the discard phase

++ Time Phasers (may be fired once at all available targets in one fleet}

Does shooting the Time Phasers cause this ship to be discarded in the discard phase?

If not, can the phasers only fire once and then are used up until killed. Or does it just mean once per turn and did not say it that way.

Also, what set did this S5 Time Ship come from? I only have one.

Have a good day

Dan

-Not sure what set they are from, my guess would be Time Gates. As to the procedural question, the card is played engaged. The 'Discard' rule only says "after use" which could be anything, including blocking Sector HQ damage. Most cards that are discard after use place this at the bottom of the card text, and the 'use' of the card is the card functions.

In a game i would allow my opponent to fire the phasers and let the ship sit there (unable to fire again) until used for a Time Knight ship or until i blew it up.

Bottom Line; Geko, myself, Galactus1 can all tell you our takes on this, but your group just needs to decide how you want to play it and go from there. This one isn't too bad, but so many cards were worded poorly in these sets there isn't going to be a necessarily-right answer all of the time.

They're from Time Gates, and I do believe they can be fired every turn. I think what that phrase means is "each time phaser does 1 point of phaser damage to all available targets in one fleet."

Tranoans are a minor empire with mainly Time Phasers for weapons.

Fun fact: Equipment that increases the number of phasers on a ship can increase time phasers if played to a ship that already has some.

Time Ships come in the turn they are played. Fire their weapons, whatever... and then are discarded at the end of your turn.

Whatever they do, even if it is "nothing" (their mere existance protects the SHQ),they are discarded.

They are meant to rescue Time Knights from the Time Origin.
