The Tranoans have a few terrain with a dual strength (T 4/6 Tranoan Moon as an example). This seems to imply to me that they have a strength in the fleet and a strength in the time origin. This brings up the following questions:
  1. When destroyed in the fleet would the T4/6 Tranoan Moon go to the time origin?
  2. While in the fleet can the Tranoan Moon pay the engagement cost of a ship in the Time Origin?
  3. While in the Time Origin can the Tranoan Moon pay the engagement cost of something in the fleet?

Interested in your opinions...

Hello all

In our group:

1. The Tranoan Moon goes to the Time Origon when destroyed.

2. The cards outside the Time Origon cannot effect cards in the Time Origons and cards inside the Time Origon cannot effect cards outside the Time Origons.

3. I think we don't allow cards in the Time Origon to effect the fleet unless it says on the card that in can. So I would say the Tranoan Moon cannot supply fleet units when it occupies the Time Origon.

Have a good day    Dan

If I understand you correctly, a Tranoan ship (other than the patrol ship - which has no engagement cost) cannot be engaged in the Time Origin until some terrain ends up in the Time Origin.

Is that an accurate re-statement?

Thanks for your input.

I am following the clarification in the 2.1 rules.

 - Cards at the time origin are considered in play and can be allocated to, engaged, and take their actions (within the time origin only, of course).

- Cards at the time origin can only affect cards at the time origin, and cards outside the time origin can only affect cards outside the time origin.
So to engage in the Time Origon you would have to have terrain in the Time Origon.

That's how we play...Dan
