I'm running a Mechad deck in a group of my friends who don't play GE that I am trying to generate interest in. I've come up with a few scenarios that could happen, but have't yet, and I don't quite know what I'd do.

General: Is the duplicate ship played engaged after you drop the E8? If the C1 Sysop lets the E8 function on another ship, does that ship get played engaged? What happens if this puts you over your command point limit?

Situation: E8 Mechad thing + E9 Future Ship + C1 Sysop

Question: Can the Sysop on one of the two ships from the E8 duplicate the Future Ship on their ship to work on the other, and vice versa, to effectively have two Future Ships on each ship?

Situation: E8 Mechad thing + Time Knight (any) + C6 Clone

Question: I play a Time Knight and I Clone it on one of my ships. The Clone gets to be played engaged, but when it takes on the form of the Time Knight does it begin occupying command slots, and can that put me over my limit? Technically it was never allocated a command point, but I'm not sure how this works.

I have more, I just can't remember them all right now. Still no Internet at home... yay Panera free wi-fi.

Okay, the Mechad Interface Thingy:

- The ship on which it is played, and all accompanying cards, function as if there were two such stacks of cards, for all purposes.

- Both "ships" require points to be supplied for any functions.

- This card is discarded when the fascimile ship or the original ship is destroyed.

Technically it is "played" disengaged. Since it requires points to function. Although I do not think it was ever played that way.

See above.

Nothing. For reality's sake, this ship doesn't really exist. Nobody has to command it. It sort of runs on autopilot, except that it makes its own decision on what to attack, etc.

Yeah, wow. My brain is starting to hurt. How about we just kill RobPro so I don't have to deal with this warped reality bending?

To answer the question, yes.

See above. The Mechad thingy does not actually allow the Time Knight to be played engaged. Neither does the C6 Clone btw.

In all of my games that this card has been used the duplicate has been allowed to function immediately. Although according to what I am reading on the card, I don't think that it should, whihc would make this card less than useful.

So, answering the questions as if the card *DID*, in fact, allow them to come into play engaged:

Sure.

Sure.

Same thing as if you lost a unit that generated excess Command Points.
- If a player has full command slots and loses some command points he does not have to discard cards that consume command slots, but he may not play another card requiring command slots until a free slot becomes available.

See above. Even if you exceed your command slots, it will not matter until the following turn.

Yes, you would get the copy of the ship as well.

No, you can not send the duplicate rogue couple to steal a different ship.

Yeah, this card should never have been created either.

Ooh, well due to a paradox saying that only one Rogue Couple may be in play in the game at any time... the Rogue Couple would be discarded, sucked away in an anti-time paradocial calamity.
