Hi all.

I'm George H Stewart. Mike (WerewolfLHT65) told me about this forum and dragged my butt to it, so I finally registered here and thought I would introduce myself.

I started playing GE at Origins 95 after Harry Dangro roped me into a demo game at the Companion Games booth ;)  I wound up getting pretty involved and became a regional rep, and also attended as many Origins events and Tactical Retreats as I could since I was close enough to Ohio and NY to be able to attend often. Locally, I attended Vincent Bieksha's tourneys at Edison NJ.

I made it to the Master's finals at basically every event, though I never won a national Master's tourney. I came in second twice at Origins and Tactical retreat Dueling tourneys and finally won the duel tournament at the last Companion Tactical retreat (unfortunately I never got my C10 War Veteran as by that point the company was going under.) :(

As far as I know, Harry Dangro and I were the people who introduced the MDM deck concept at the tournament level and made it work.

I am also the individual who commissioned the infamous B9 Base from Hell and the Garshain promo Indirigan fleet.

I decided that I wanted to get involved here because I didn't want Werewolf to be my filter of my opinions in a public forum. As I'm sure you noticed by now, Werewolf can be a bit bombastic in expressing himself and that isn't me, so I prefer to express my own opinions in person as a result.

Anyway, I'll contribute from time to time here.

My computer suffered a meltdown this spring and I lost all my details, Outlook contacts and saved emails which is why you have not heard back from me. I'm hoping that one or more of you are forum residents and we can get back in touch this way.

Probably when I was a regional rep and I visited the comic book store up near Burlington a few times. The store owners got REALLY annoyed at me because I was undercutting their sale price on booster boxes so I had to talk to them to soothe troubled waters at the time. I'll probably recognize you when I see you and vice-versa. =)

I'm no where near a 'founder'. I started playing about a year after the game debut, and you won't see my name anywhere in the credits as a playtester or anything else to my knowledge. The most you'll see I think is my name in some of the Galactic Fires that reported event results and on my promo cards. Thanks for the flattery though :P
