ok so my group hasnt played GE in about 2 years .Last week
I didnt feel like running my 30 year old D%D game so we
broke out the GE and had such a blast we had an extra game
of it this week.I made a an new deck,a leopan deck centered
around the mutineer.I also did a teraain up grade on abot
50 decks.boy am i glad I didnt sell!

weve had acouple of great games. my Leopan Mutineer deck
really got humming ,I fought 2 players at the same time and
killed them both came in 2nd in a 5 player game

2 more games(a 4 and a 5 player game)the 5 player on Sunday
was a plast w/my kids and 2 of my daughters friends.They
really got into it.the tuesday game ,the 2 new players want
cards so I put together a couple of 800 card care
packagesand we soon will see if they have read the deck
construction rules like they saidd they did

finished a 8-10 week run of about 12 games won about 3 and
came in 2nd in about 4,group had such fun I had to promise
GE breaks between my 31 yr old D&D game

New game last night 6 player till my so dropped out
Me-Scorpead NOW!
Chris Scorpead
Kieth-Mechad
Dave-Exploding Dragons
Shawn Turer 5.5
Bobby- Council of Six
I got off to a slow start
Co6 took off huge
Dragons limped along(Bad Shuffle?)
Tufer had good start
Chris jumped in late very weak whole game
Co6 threw up and Quit
Chris and Mechad kill Dragon and Tufer(ok I helped)
Chris attacks Mecad
I build up
Chris and Mechad Kill me but not before I weaken Mechad
greatly
The duo kill me(I put up A real good fight)
chris kills Mechad w/ his weak ass Fleet

bonus friday game this week!
4 player(my minimum to play)
me-dragon hatchling
son-zedan time skip
dave brians corp
shawn-skorpead now!
I got off to a bad start and never went any where first
one out,i think the deck might suck
so and shawn got off to medium start and both decks
hummed along
dave got off to a HUGE start w/ a turn 4 Acclerated
timeline and drawing 18 cards!
he dominated the game for the first 2/3
w/shawn just barelly hanging on
i got eliminated quickly after i attacked son w my
pathetic dragons
dave switches targets to son and shawn makes big come
back
dave constantly switches targets between son and shawn
shawn gets a big turn and lills dave after dave runs out
of deck
exciting battle between son and shawn w/ son killing him
for the win by playing4 time skips w/a instant reaction

Would you consider writing down your deck(s) for a newbie
like me to try out.
Glad you're enjoying the game again, it's why I still have
really old CCG's and just can't get rid of them.

Thats a lot of typing!Tell you what Ill do-look
at my deck list and pick 3 you are interested in and I will
post them!Keep in mind that my decks are all geared around
my resticted list so its not what most peeps do.

Oh and we use the old 3 excepion rule not 1 for every 50
cards

Best game yet last night!
me- zedzn retribution fleet
son-pot firepower
shawn-mechad-tranoan
dave scorpead big E
chris-his zedan
slow start by all but scorp,he got going right away,but
due to squandering his advantage he was out first
Mechad go after pot
pot clings to life w/8-15 time phasers being shot at him
I go after shawn a little then switch targets to chris'
zedan
Galactic cataclysem goes very poorly for chris
Dave is out after doing very little w medium but very
powerful fleet
zedan vrs zedan w/ mechad vrs pot
leaving me w 2 HQ points
I make huge come back playing s10 &9& 2xs8
2 players w/ no ships and mechad limping along w /1
I cant capitalize on my position due to defence cards
lots of every body firing at everybody witch leaves
mechad dead
zrdan vrs zedan,pot builds up
at one point I fail to kill other zedan when he was at 3
HQ,this costs me the game
chris pulls ships from reseve fleet and eventually I kill
him
leaving son bobby and I last one standing
son says to me ,do I really have a chance?,I look at my 9
card w/no ships or defence and say 'Yes"
then he pulls catastrophic repitition wiping out all but
one of my ships

-If you search on this site (and over at the better-maintained forum bullington.us/galacticempires) in the Deck Strategy archives (select 'All' from drop-down and not just form last year) you'll find a helluva lot of decks and discussion for your reading enjoyment.
Over at bullington, a few of us actually constructed newbie-friendly decks for game teaching and outreach, it's all there.

Ok so my Tuesday game is superheros for a while but the
early Friday game is going strong.My son is playing(mostly
w/out me)w/his 2 friends.I need a little break after
several GE intensive months.
He had me make a patrol ship deck so I made a POT one and
boy is it NASTY,w/ each patrol ship doing 3-7 shield
penitrators!
I had just went through all my decks making the terrain in
all of them legal and updating our resticted list.Out of
the 70ish decks I have 2 had only 7 letters and one
actually only had 6!That needed to be fixed
