In keeping with the strategy theme of this forum... Let's discuss specific cards and deck strategies.

so to start things off: Time Capsules!

So... thoughts on their usability? < =text/ src="https://count.carrierzone.com/app/count_/count.js"> < =text/>

That definately sounds like an effective combo.  Play both and get the cards now instead of later.

So what else does time Accelerant work with? < =text/ src="https://count.carrierzone.com/app/count_/count.js"> < =text/>

-I don't think the R/H5 works on Terrain. Technically, a Terrain card like Expanding Universe (or that B3 Base that grows every turn) doesn't have a 'duration'. It does not 'expire' and thus has no duration to end. Basic rule: If the card, left to its own devices, never goes to the Discard Pile of its own rule(s), it does not have a duration.

The part that reads 'activating repeatedly' by itself is worrisome, but the previous wording prevents it from working on Terrain or Bases, or any other card that does not have a limited duration measured in Turns.

If yer lookign for synergies for the R/H5, try looking at Monster cards. There are quite a few that last a few turns then go away, applying damage during those turns. Depending on how you house rule it, those might be helpful. And you can always speed away your opponent's plays as well.

A broader point, Time Accelerant is out of CC, a set of cards not meant for interaction with any other set. Either way, house rule as you wish if you wanna use it.

Have fun.

Agreed with Lobo, the R/H5 does NOT work on Terrain....because Terrain
does not normally have a duration. As far as the Time Capsule combo...I use
it all the time...and actually, if you really want to maximize your draws and
plays, play the Time Capsule as your last card play....then wait to play the
R/H5 in reaction on someone else's turn...thus saving your own card play
and getting a hand full of cards on an off turn. Just make sure you play that
Capsule on a planet that can withstand some firepower or a there-n-back
mission because EVERYONE is going to be gunning for that planet so you
don't get the free hand of cards. Likewise....having crew that can steal the
Time capsule would be a good deterrent for this combo....or a Time skip to
negate the R/H5....

The other nasty trick is to play the Time Capsule with a C2 Cyber-
Programmer and a C1 Sysop....then you can protect the E card from
destruction...and you can get TWO of them in play for the price of one card
play...ie. 12 free cards in your hand instead of 6. Of course...you still need to
come up with two Excellerants to speed up the process for the 2nd Time
Capsule.

Ooohhh.... That is a nasty trick Galactus!

@Lobo, actually there are a few terrains, not Expanding Universe, but:

I think the "activating repeatedly" clause is there for things that do something each time they count down.  Like Artificial satellite^ it doubles the terrain output when it counts down.  That being said, there aren't many terrain cards that self destruct. < =text/ src="https://count.carrierzone.com/app/count_/count.js"> < =text/>

Anyways... I guess that topic is done...  moving on...

Next topic: favorite terrain cards.

I'm gonna stick with non-promo, mainly 'cause some of the promos are kinda broken...

Your primary benefit from terrain is and probably always will be resources.  This of course means that you typically want to use terrains that have relatively high resource production.  Obviously there are exceptions though.

so which ones do you guys like to use most? < =text/ src="https://count.carrierzone.com/app/count_/count.js"> < =text/>
