What do you guys this would be the better Bolaar minor to run? Vicious 6 or Nagiridni? Vektrean? Any suggestions? I like the idea of a pirate theme.

Either Nagaridni or Vicious Six are a good choice. I currently use both as
minor empires in my Bolaar deck, though even with a T6 Former Indirigan
Homeworld and an A7 Defended Territory in my reserve to protect it, it's
difficult getting both of them out when I need them. I've found I just can't
get ships into play quickly enough with both tribes as minor empires in
the deck.

The one problem with both V6 and Nagaridni's is they both don't have
any ships larger than S8. If you want to be able to build to S10 with
Bolaar, you might want to consider Vinciennes tribe Indirigans, but they
are exclusively promos and can be difficult to find. Also, because of their
mine deployment systems, they tend to work better with the Tufor.
Trying to incorporate mines with the Bolaar would dilute the strategy of a
deck, unless you were to use some of the Tufor E cards as well.

Another possibility is Violator Indirigans. My understanding is that they
are also considered Vinciennes tribe, although that has been under some
debate here. They are pirates also, and have both an S9 and an S8. They
can also be difficult to find.

I'm considering rebuilding my Bolaar deck with only Nagaridni Indirigans.
There are some particularly sweet Anthony Medici promos for the
Nagaridni tribe which is why I'm going to stick with them rather than go
with the V6. I'm going to take the V6 and put them together with a fleet
of Corporate Pirates I have to base a deck on, though that's not going to
end up being built for some time yet.

The Violater ships are part of the Vincennes fleet...ask Vince...he will clarify
this. I would have to agree with MogwaiSC on this....V6 is a poor choice to
put together with Bolaar....Vektrean is a much better choice between those
two.

Yeah, Vektrean and Bolaar make a good combination since they both can
use foreign tech. I love putting R/E3 Shrouds and R/E2 Repulsion Beams
into decks with both, as both empires can use both technologies. Add in
a couple of B8 Manufacturing Plants, and you can use them over many
times. I did this with my Vektrean deck recently in a game, with my B8
parked on a T5 Custom Military Reservation... :D

Well, gee... I can't afford to spend $100 on cards every week like you do...
that might have something to do with it.

I also recall that when I thoroughly shuffled your deck you didn't do as
well. I'll be doing that every time from now on... And then when I'm done
Deth-Ray will shuffle it, and then when he's done...

My Bolaar deck did a lot better too after changing my minor empire to
Vinciennes and Violator, and I've only improved it since then.

Just remember, keep up that kind of attitude and the rest of us will do to
you exactly what we did the last time we all played; we'll all gang up on
you and kill you first so the rest of us can have a normal game...

Of course, then you'd just bitch and moan and whine endlessly about it...
but oh, I forgot, you bitch and moan and whine endlessly even when you
win...

Drakmoore,

In response to your question, I've rebuilt my Bolaar deck with Vinciennes
and Violators. They are hard to find, and even though I only have one set
of each, they have dramatically improved the strength of my deck. I also
get the benefit of sharing technology as many E cards are usable by both
the Indirigans and the Bolaar; fusers, multipurpose phasers, etc. Also,
with a couple of the C7 violator chieftans in my deck, I can use the E8
Bolaar Phaser Capacitors on any Violator ship with a chieftan on it.
