Each turn, allows the ship to muzzle one dragon.
If the dragon is of greater strength than the ship, ship sustains damage points equal to the difference.
A muzzled dragon cannot use its breath weapons on the turn affected
Now if the ship is destroyed because of the strength difference, will the dragon still be muzzled?

I would think the muzzle falls off, and the dragon is no longer muzzled.

Did they actually make a card this silly?!? Yep, in PoM. not my fault. :)
The card is an Equipment card, so if the ship is discarded the Muzzle is as well, and would no longer effect the Dragon.

At a quick think, I would say that the ship is still affected. the strobe says affected units, while the muzzle says the allows the ship to muzzle.
The Argonian strobe blinds the fire controlscanners of up to 3 shiips or bases belonging to any one opponent for one turn.
- affected units may not fire weapons.
- the defending player chooses which 3 units are affected.
- cannot be used on the same opponent on 2 consecutive turns.
- argonian foreign technology.

more importantly this one has a duration: blinds the fire controlscanners of up to 3 shiips or bases belonging to any one opponent for one turn.
So, yes, they are affected.

Yes, it can be argued that the muzzle affects the ship for one turn.
Use your best judgement on that one.
But treat the strobe as a "Discard After Use" card.

Wait, this leaves the question of when unresolved... the muzzle card only
says the ship takes damage, not what kind of damage or when.
If it said what kind of damage it was, it should be fairly straightforward to
figure out; if it's treated as weapons damage then I'd think the muzzle
would be discarded during weapons fire phase thus allowing the Dragon
to use its breath weapon. If the muzzle is discarded later, then it changes
things.
Perhaps I'm needlessly splitting hairs here... it seems like it should be
treated as weapons damage and resolved during weapons fire phase.

I dont know, it seems straightforward to me. Both the harness and the muzzle work in the same fashion(or so I believe). the ship to which it is played can muzzle/harness one dragon card. If the Dragon is of greater strength than the ship, the ship takes damage at that timeof the difference eg D8 surface dragoness muzzled by a S6 command ship would cause 2 damage to the command ship right then and the damage would be considered card action damage.
And Geko, if you are saying the strobe has a duration, then the muzzle and harness would also have a duration( i think ).
Dragon Muzzle/Harness
-played on a ship card
- Each turn allows the ship to Muzzle/harness one opponent dragon
--If the dragon is of greater strengththan the ship, ship sustains damage points equal to the difference.
-A Muzzled/Harnessed Dragon cannot use its breath weapon/physical attacks on the turn affected. (hence the duration)

the situation was a S1 ship of the future was used to muzzle my D10 dragon which killed the ship at the same time. The strobes ship would'nt be destroyed untill maybe a player or two later before the strobed players turn comes up.
i guess this would be the difference between the two situations

What makes you say that? It is a card action, that takes place in the card phase.

Yes, that is why I posted the second comment. GE is full of this type of stuff. That is what we tried to clean up with Universe Edition.

wow, i just took a new look at this. How could a ship from the future even have a strobe on it. The strobe is Argonian foreign technology and the ship doesnt have a "use foreign technology" clause. Plus while the ship is played in the engaged position, the Strobe has an energy requirement which cannot be engaged until the next turn which by that Time The ship from the future is discarded. YEAH YEAh, emergency power could be used to activate it but it still cannot use foreign tech.

You could if you played an engineer or some other crew card with the strobe
that allowed you to use foreign technology at location. OR If you had a very
liberal view that since the Future Ship card allows use of Foreign
Technology...that the Ship From The Future card could also use foreign
Tech....but that would be a very, very liberal interpretation of the rules...if
not a complete stretch!! :) In Champions we would call that Comic License
and let the player get away with it for enhanced game flavor!!
