I'm wondering if anyone has experience playing this race?
The cards came out after I'd really stopped playing so I've never seen them in action but they look interesting.
Can anyone share their experiences with them? I have enough to build a deck but don't know which direction to turn.

my deck was built around all of my ships coming out hot. So, Surprise Attacks, Samurais, and I think there is a terrain out there that allows you to play a ship fully engaged.
I forget what else I did to facilitate this.

yep, don't remember if it was fully engaged or not.
And I think I had at least one other card to help me do it, i'm not sure.

T7 Fantasy System would help, too. Doesn't get the ship engaged, but it cheats them into play.

Sounds like hot flaming death from turn 2 on... I like it.
None of this waiting for them to get ready... just die already!

yeah, we grossly underestimated the ability to engage and load their weapons, and even then thought that not giving them shields would help balance them. Just think of them as Dragons without any special abilities other then a built in Hot Nebelium.

Geko, you made a comment about Samurais that lead me to believe they engaged more easily than normal but I don't see anything like that in the card base that Eric Smith maintains.
Am I missing something?

-I didn't see any of the promos on skeeve's site that allow for fully engaged ship play, but several that allow extra draws, regular plays. Dunno if his list is exhaustive or not though.
So the moral of the story is, i now add Gekos to the list of cards that should prompt violent responses from me if i see them hit the table...well, those and that pesky time knight.....Lobo

oops, i meant the S4 Kamikaze, not the Samurai.
8 weapons that come out hot. Yes, you have to throw it away afterwards, but still. You can play it normally and just engage it, but what's the fun in that. :)

That's why I'd put a shipyard and a repair moon in my reserve to go along
with it... just pull it back every turn and play it again... :D

The Gnat concept never really worked for me.
in a multiplayer game, they attracted too much attention.
In a duel, they weren't worth it. I'd rather include other cards.
