The Plan:  Well, i don't right know what the plan was when i built this thing. I like having a deck with a good deal of monsters in it, figured a dragon deck would be a good compliment. I played this deck in a couple of quick games and found that Equipment and Hazard cards ate my lunch.

The firepower isn't strong with so many D1s, as when i had a couple of shots at opponent HQ i could barely scratch the surface or get a free card draw as i couldn't get to the magic number 6. I have a few modifications i will be making but wanted to post and see if any comments would be helpful here on this one. Thanks in advance, have a good one.....Lobo

yeah, you said it. What are you using to damage your opponent's SHQ in this deck? My guess is not much.

Even if you get the right card draws to keep your opponent at bay with Ms, you still have to dmage his SHQ. He will be back on his feet before you get to draw an extra card. You need more of the higher strength D cards or switch empires.

Gekos can use Gnats, so M would be a good supplement for them.

of course you cant find any descent L1's There are only 3; lucky crew action, unlucky crew action and wizard orb promo.

And my sugestion is dump the r/04 repair delivery- it cant repair your dragon or monsters.  Use a R/C5 veterinarian which can heal dragon and monsters 3 each turn. which you have one of.   Alos get some T8 and T9 dragon lairs.

-Thanks for the feedback so far. On that Repair Delivery, i thought i was neat as the only card i have (other than agendas) that heals damage to my Sector HQ. Since i need that to live, figured why not.  i do agree it is not in the theme of the deck and i will certainly consider dropping it for another R/C5 Vet or R/L4 Monster Overstrike.

I will modify the deck a bit to include more dragons from 5 up to 9 and a couple more terrain to ensure i can power them up. I am short on heavy weapon resources, though, but still working on matching the terrain up on this deck. Thanks again, all comments welcome, have a good one.....Lobo

I always find it hard to fit any theme except 'keep it lean' in a small deck.  With that in mind, the monsters may be a distraction.

C can't go on D so their only location will be T - that requires more [promo] terrain, if you have it, or you'll end up with a handful C with no place to go.

I notice only ~17% of your cards will protect the HQ.  that's a wee bit low unless you're betting the farm that the D1's will survive.

Perhaps bignea could leak a few secrets of the dragon empire?
hmmm?

a good start is you need all the dragon lairs

T6 lair ( promo ) T7, T8, T9 also T5 and T7 dragon nests ( promos )

want to use crew use the E3 dragon saddle and the A6 dragon riders

i usually a lot of high end dragons like level 6 and on up.

i use in abilities like A9 dragon automaton, A7 auto, and A5 ancient moltings and for extra power to weapons an A8 white nobelium and A4 hot nobeliums.

for protection R/C5 vet and a various kinds of luck like monster healing and R3 unlucky manuver L6 lucky manuver and also try R/T2 asteroid shields.

monsters use the M5 occumbus for protection and the high end monsters for extra damage.

my deck gets around 200 with dragons so i will put extra draw cards in like techno breakthroughs O9 alliance treaty- we always take the 5 cards. cyber mage and D7 cyber dragoness.

I played against this deck and it has potential. It was the first time I faced a reactionary world and it made me rethink my reaction strategy. I basically had to kill the reactionary worlds before I could really react to much of anything. In that respect they serve two purposes. Drawing off a bit of firepower and slowing down my reactin card play.

There was one game that he got out three scintilators but I had an Erodi Battlecruiser in play and made short work of them with the hazard damage. In both games he managed to get out at least one D10 and almost got out 2 of them (he anteed one in the second game).

I played a Tufor/Erodi deck that was 75 cards and a Bolar/Indirigan deck that was 65 cards. I'll post them in a minute.

Bignea, the unlucky manuever- I dont have that card but I do have R/L3 unlucky targeting.  Plus the R/t2 Asteroid shield and R/L6 lucky maneuver are ship played cards.. can you use them on dragons?

Lobo try these luck cards also to negate his damage R/l2 phaser malfunction, R/L4 miscommunications, R/L4 Monster healing , R/L5 defensive override, R/l5 heavy weapons Backfire, R/L8 targeting error

For you get some L6 Artifact Dragon Gems- 6 shield for your dragon- though they be for wimps

Also, your queen and kings abilities are wasted  until you get higher strength dragons in play. they double physicl or breath weapons

dragons are considered ships except you can'nt play occurance, crew and equipment to them.

my bag, i ment to say unlucky targeting. I do'nt use the gems, i just think there is better cards for protection.

Got to admit having the promo terrains makes the dragon deck alot more powerful, they add strength and half damage.

Take a T5 dragon nest put a A7 defended territory on it, then have a D9 either dragoness with a A9 automaton on it. I know it's major spindle bait, but if you can keep it going it will take 46 heavy weapons to kill the dragon. the nest adds 5 strength to the dragon and it's half damage. Ask matchbox and bekosh they love seeing these stacks LOL

-Thanks for all the feedback. I now have a list of cards i need to try trading for!

I modified the deck a bit and bumped the total card count to 75 as of today. It may grow as i continue tweaking it but i placed a self-imposed limit of 100 on the thing to avoid me getting overwhelmed (and avoid the temptation to just throw everything i have in there). I added D5-D9 cards for more power, kept one Scintillating for reserve and one in deck, and cut down the crew to 5 cards (i'd rather keep the monsters and the crew didn't go along with what i had in mind). My next step will be looking through my Luck cards and seeing if i can beef up the deck there by providing for damage prevention against opponent as suggested.

I also started building an Indirigan dueling deck that Galaktische will get to see next time. I'll post that after our game to see if i can pull off a small deck (currently at 48 cards and trying to trim further).

Thanks again, talk later.....Lobo

When  Lobo starts making Dragon stacks that take 46 heavy weapons to clear I'll feel justified in playing C5/5 Time Knights to rearrange the stacks.

Lobo, are we announcing races for next Monday's games?

I still need to play my Tufor/Erodi and Bolaar decks to see how they play but you've given me an interesting idea.

I'm going to post a Deck challenge that I'd like you and I to try and play. Look for a new thread with it.

Yeah, that T5 does seem a bit overpowered.  I remember the dragons took the dueling masters one year using combos like that.

Another fun deck is mechad/drone/tranoan. dist. cannons and time phasers to ships and gravidic distorters to the terain. there was one game i hit one fleet with 3 canons and 4 time phasers to the ships and 5 gavitic to the terain all on same turn. needless to say that only happened for 1 turn they did'nt like me to much after that.

my 200 deck dragon is consistant on getting those stacks together, so i'm pretty happy with that size deck at least for dragons.
