Have 2 questions.

The outpost says the only units that can fire at this base is pirates and police. Would a time knight fireing its time phasers be considered a unit when targeting the base?

A outpost was protecting a psy location. Could i transport a mechad overlord with a R/E2 transport shuttle to that location and leave it there to destroy all psys played there? or would the shields of the base still protect the psys since it was not a there and back mission.

BY the way having a overlord on a death world is a very good combination for killing crew.

-Howdy. If your first question came up in a game i was playing in, i would say the Time Knight cannot fire at the outpost as it is neither a pirate nor a police ship. As for the second question, i don't want to look up the cards in question so i'll leave that for someone else.

I would say time phasers would affect the pirate outpost.  You are nor firing at the outpost.  Time phasers are fired at the fleet and affect ALL targets. Of course I have a question.  where is the time knight getting time phasers?

I am not so sure on time damage, but in the rule books it all I could find was time knight can only be damaged by time damage.  So is the XX/XX mean that when a Time knight is in the fleet it can cause  the first amount as time damage and when in the Time Origin do the second amount of time damage.  Actually That is what it means as I search for additional info under the non -heavy weapons. Below it, it explains time phasers doing thier damage.  So my conclusion is that the time damage can not damage anything except for those that can be damaged by time damage...eg time snakes, tranoans and opponent time knights in the time origin.  The time damage does nothing to standard targets such as terrain, bases, dragons or ships.

-I still think the wording on the Pirate Outpost handles it fine without further explanation. Take the independent Time Ships. They fire phasers at the whole darn fleet. The outpost is part of the enemy fleet, but it cannot be fired upon by anything other than pirate or police. The Time Ship is firing at the fleet as a whole, but since it is neither pirate nor police (without an A1 change of identity-similar card that affects ship, at least) the part of the firing that normally would go to the outpost is blanked. Again, that would be my personal ruling. Needless clarification on that, i suppose, but what the heck.

After learning i am playing Psys today, as to your second question bignea i will cast my vote for allowing the Psys to be attacked by any means necessary, shields or no shields (vote subject to change without notice).....Lobo

I guess i'm reaching a little with the time damage, just finding different ways to kill that base.

I disagree eaglepreacher on the time damage in the fleet. Time knights can damage standered targets except terrain of course.

Lobo, I would say that Time Phasers and Mechad distortion cannons both affect the pirate base. Both weapons are fired at the fleet and hit standard targets and the pirate base is a standard target.  Yes I know the pirate base says can only be fired AT by a police or pirate, but the target from these weapons are not firing at the base but the fleet.   The damage to the base is incidental damage.  Think of the damage like a shotgun.  You point the shot gun at a group of people from a distance and all of them get hit by pellets, you fired AT the group and everyone takes damage.  The word AT becomes the whole key.

The Outpost should read "Only police and pirate units may target this base with weapons fire".

This means that non-targetting weapons such as Time Phasers do affect it.

Also, so do Time Damage since they happen during the card play phase.

No, Time Phasers are weapons, they happen during the Weapons Fire Phase. Time Damage is card damage. It happens during either card play phase.

Card Damage - Only cards with one or more damage symbols on the top right of the card can cause card damage. The use of card damage is a card action.

Time knight damage is on the bottom of the card, also tranoan ships have time damage and is considered a weapons volley.
