Which came first the chicken or the egg and why? I noticed 2 versions of the Vek Star Base The one T/B9 with no fancy border states-This card is played and damaged as a terrain card. It is a base card for all other purposes. The T9 with fancy border states The Vektreans choose to build some bases within structurally  sound asteroids. Shields also protect aginst card play damage (hazards, occurrances, ect.) Any one have any input.

The T9 is for all purposes a T/B9 (which is the newest printing of the card).

T9 was primary expansion, the T/B was universe .  As for why, the Universe reworded the card and made it more 'honest to the Vektrean T/B bases.

Thanks, EP, I sometimes forget to include the extra info, since it is all second nature to me.

"In a game if these cards were in play would they be treated the same?"

-Howdy. The rules of the game agree with Gekonauak, but be careful. I have read posts on these boards wherein certain playgroups will not recognize the updated language and play the wording as-is on the card.

This could lead to application of two very different results depending on the card involved, such as Shield Fiend that is much more or less useful depending on which copy you have. So ask prior to game, and make sure you have the better version by golly if this occurs in your area.

Good luck with it, have a good one.....Lobo

In the Philly Group, we adhere to the Most Recently Published Card, with regards to rules issues.
The only card which we re-wrote, for clarity, was the R/O-3 Instant Reaction.
That being said, here's to seeing all who plan to attend in January.
