I just found a box of these Babies. They are a Promo from Gerry Smit. Any one know a way to beef these up abit. I am a little confused by the wording. -Weapons damage applied to the structure is reduced by half.- Weopons damage applied to bases on this terrain is reduced by half. I take it the structure is actualy the Terrain its self?

weapons damage applied to the structure of the terrain is reduced by half and so is the base structure, but the shileds still take regular damage.  Card damage is also stil normal. Beefing them up like any other terrain is helpful.

Thanks,You know the Expression" I know you heard what I said But what you don't Know Is what I said is not what I meant" Well I think  the authors of some of these cards applied that Religously. So A Terrain can be a structure all is Clear sayth Grasshopper. Well maybe not? PS I added a S in the Edit to Base if you are confused. This Is After GP.s reply. Are we having fun yet?

Well, the "structure of the terrain" refers to its base strength without shields. I.E. the structure of the T5 is the 5 strength.

EP; read the card again. It says "weapons damage to bases" not "damage
to the structure of bases". ALL weapons fire to bases on that T5 is halved,
not just to the structure.

well, this was brought up in an earlier thread, of which I know not where, but I think(but not sure) that Geko said the shields recieved full damage, though I may be wrong... and this was why I stated the aforementioned "full damage to shields".

If you play a shield to it which card rule do you say governs the card? The planet or the Shield? Does the shield take on the rule from the terrain?

If the exact text on the card is what is indicated above, then even the shields get half damage.

Adding a shield refit of any sort to the terrain, the shields would gain the benefit of the terrain's protection.

Frankly, it's the best T5 in the game. I almost always put one in my
reserve for just about any deck.

No, I would never call any T-5 the best card in the game. What if I have a deck with no bases? The Mil Res seems kinda pointless there, hmm?

No, each deck has it's own unique terrain needs. For a Filarian deck, they have their own T-5, the Breeding Ground.

Dragons has a T-5 Dragon's Nest.

Pirates have the T-5 Pirate System.

Vektreans have Vektrea Prime..

And so on. I have this card, and while it's a neat promo, it is far from the best T-5 in the game.

Personally, I usually stock the T/B5.

And as the primary Vektrean Player here, that'll be 1500 Delics for rental fees, payable forthwith or we'll be forced to repossess those frontier bases.

The Admiral.

:)

Come on Mike... I did NOT call it the best card in the game... did you
even read my post?

I agree about each deck needing terrain appropriate for that deck, but
there are some that are simply so useful they enhance ANY deck. Sure,
if you don't have bases in your deck, then it's not going to do you much
good, but a good selection of bases adds a lot to most any deck. The
Military Reservation makes bases that much more effective, for example
parking a B9 Custom Base on one with a Tac Officer is a pretty nice way
to protect your SHQ.

But in summary, don't put words in my mouth. You're attributing words
to me which I did NOT say.
