How about this:

Crew may be stocked in a Psy deck without support. (treated like the C card was a P)

Do you think that would help?

Considering that Psy's are supposed to be a subset of crew, I don't see a
problem with it. At the same time, if that idea is subscribed to, it only
makes sense to do the same with Dragons and Ships, as Dragons are
supposed to be a subset of ships as far as I remember.

I don't think it thins out the crew you'd want to bring that much, but I'd be ok with it.

If we ever start playin again, I'm willing to tweak my Psycanti deck to that format. Who knows, combining Psys and crew might be the fix..

It would certainly make a deck more focused and efficient. You wouldn't
need as many cards in it to meet all the stocking requirements so it would
be smaller overall, and build faster as a result.

We need a clarification though... if you stock Crew without support
because they're part of the build structure with Psy's, do those C cards
fulfill the requirement for a card type? In other words, in a psy deck, if you
have at least 5 P and 5 C does that cover two of the 8 required card types?
Same for Dragons and Ships. It seems to me it should for such a rule
variant.
