-Howdy folks, hope your Wednesday is going relatively well. I have a quick question (i think). If i take an opponent ship (let's say, oh, an S4 Council of Six ship) with the Rogue Couple and the ship has a fighter or two on it, do i also get to use the fighters? or does the Rogue Couple only allow me to control the ship itself?

Thanks in advance, have a good week all.....Lobo

Well, the rules don't really cover this situation.

They say that you control the ship, but nothing is giving you control over the extras on the ship.

You should be able to control all of the Passive Equipment. (which would include the fighters).

But, that would be more of a house rule.

yes,it doesent come up that often as the ships a rouge couple get are generally small and less likely to have any C or E played to it,remember also The couple are basicly a persona so it should be powerful

a great trick w/ the couple is to put them and an Advanced preparedness in your reserve fleet

pop them out on turn 1 and 2 then play them in reaction between turn 2 and 3,you will get a larger ship on average

Well, a better way to get a higher strength ship would be to place a smaller ship out of play.

A real tricky person could Time Skip the Rogue Couple as you try to fire at their SHQ, and the ship would pop back under their control and absorb the damage. Possibly killing the Rogue Couple in the process.

Just wanted to point out that you do not have to settle for the smallest ship in play.

And, for all those out there... playing a R/S1 Ship of the Future in reaction to a Rogue Couple being played does not magically transport the Rogue Couple to the R/S1. It doesn't stop the RC from being played to the entended target.
