of course the personwith the least damage was declared winner. But after awhile this rule was discarded because it was a downer to a game when the earth was destroyed and marvin the martian still could'nt find his q-38 space modulator.

That's what it says on the card. Nobody in our group plays with Earth, though.

I didn't vote in this Forum. I really don't have a preferance, I was simply wondering about the effect this card could or would have if used. Since the company included it I would think they thought that it would be used at some future time by some one. Remember I have still to wittness a game no less play one. By the way EP where is my q- 38 modulator?

I would think that earth is a Con card. Having read alot of what was written here and in the old GF's I see that the good will of fellow players seem to denote the out come of many games and tornies. A clever player might stock Earth to use it in a way to end the game knowing that they might play on the emotions of another player. The ole I dislike him more so if I'm going everyones going. Though it might have been created as a joke It does create consequences that future players might incorperate in to a stradigy. As I understand life you got to play the hand life has dealt you-( With those who have cards up their sleeves exception) Many a Peon has become Emperor because of this. So why not accept that earth is what is and accept it as there (A Joke) I say not but a great blue marble on an Eienstein spin forged in the dreams of those with their heads in the sky on a journey away and to the big bang. Ying and Yang ,Ping and Pang

Some people think Comedy Club cards should never have been legal in tournament play. While many of them are fine for regular use, a lot of them do create headaches.

Yes, and those are the same people who not only bought every card in the expansion (relatively easy to do), but they incorporate cards from this expansion into their decks.
:)
Yes, the playtesters were outraged. Some even threatened to quit playing if we produced this set.
But, as Biegel will attest, it is just a game folks.
Lighten up.

The Space Penguins can be one sided, if you and a pal cut half the table off from playing cards. Installations can be a bit overpowering at times, and the R/C1 Super Model is clearly too distracting for tournament play. The D5 Kung Fu Dragon gets to be a bit much when you combine him with a terrain that makes it hard to get rid of him. The C4 Mad Scientist and L8 Call It Good are, at least in my opinion, overpowered. I think those could practically be entities.
And of course those players are going to use cards, even if they don't like the set. They're legal and they're decent. ;)

You think the Super Model is too distracting in GE, you should see her in action in the Guardains card game.
I'll give you the Penguins. We would have had to create a card to help combat them in the next set, they were severly unbalanced.

The space penguins are obviously not being ran correctly by that particuliar group then Robpro. First off two people cannot cut off half the tablein this way because of two reasons. A) ONLY the highsest strength penguin can reverse the order of play. So therefore two people can't pass it back and forth. B) Also the card rule on the penguin states "the direction of play may not be changed for one turn after this is done." So therefore if you have a M1 Space P in play and reverse direction , even if someone plays a M2 SP he cannot change direction again until one turn after your penguin affected the game.

There are ways around that rule.
But, I think we can all agree that the Penguins are a god awful pain in the ass. And, can take a devistating toll on multiple fleets if played correctly.

Theres always the Bat Light. Those pesky Penguins don't stay around long with him and the Boy wonder in the game. They come from Earth you know?? I was just lookin at a batch of Super hero cards I picked up , Figered I throw that in. Any one got a kitchen sink? Yes Geko everyone knows( to be Politicaly incorrect )that Penguins floated in to the farside during the last ice age on a slow burg from Greece

Not really robpro, even if they get the penguin out of there and play a larger one the rule still should aplly that play cannot be reversed for one turn.

I don't think so. If the other penguin is taken out of play first, then its rules/affects are gone and the next penguin can be played freely.

The group I play in goes by the card text on the T5 Earth.
I use an Earth when I'm feeling in a "take my ball and go home" mood...
Often I use it as a threat against other players; if they're kicking everyone's
kiester, I'll use a card play to discard it and end the game. It does have
some use in that more often than not people won't want to kill it cause
they don't want to end the game.
But usually, it's a spoiled-brat kind of thing to do.
I use penguins the same way, to threaten whoever is sitting next to me
with losing a turn, so they don't attack me.
