ok just a question on the wording of this card. it says...

Played on one opponent ship or monster

prey is trapped until spider or prey is destroyed

prey cannot fire at spider

causes 2 damage points per turn to prey

destoyed by phaser damage only

dicard after use

...i got a little confused on why it says 2 points per turn to prey, but then discard after use. wouldnt it be discarde anyway when its destroyed. maybe just a card error or somthing, but then maybe something im not seeing in it.

I would say that the meaning would be that the web crawler is discarded when killed or when the ship/moster it is played on is destroyed.  Some monsters are not discarded when thier prey is destroyed, it moves on.

matchbox played that on me when i was playing my 50 card dragon deck, hard to get rid of when you only have dragons in your deck no ships. dragons don't have phasers.

yeah but there was one problem, i played it to a scintilating dragon, eh, pretty good if its a level one, not 16 or whatever ya had it up to, let alone all your dragon lairs out there to heal it anyway each turn, god, i hate dragons

Hmmm, Dragons... Dragons are tasty treats, just ask my Astromorphs...
A dedicated Monster deck makes short work of dragons. Everyone knows this already.
Hazards really hurt too. Especially the Time Waves... Buh bye dragons lairs..

Besides, why run dragon when Geko is so much better? All it needs is a C-10 Time Traveling Arms Dealer, and a Geko deck rocks.

Well, ok, it rocks harder with the C-10. Geo has one with a C-10, and it is hard to beat. My terrain tends to go away pretty quickly..

Do you bother trying to protect the Geckos or is it just all out assault and let the cripples die?

Pretty much. It's a 100 card deck, and if a Gecko gets mauled, unless he is shorthanded, he lets the crips die.

Well, i would have to say, his deck and my deck are different then. I don't let them die. i don't have a lot of them.

Well, it is important to point out, if you can actually score serious damage to them, they are replaced rather then fixed. But with all the interference Luck and O cards in the deck, it is rather difficult to kill them off.

i only let them die if i have no other choice, or I have a better replacement in my hand ready to come out.

Lots of luck and Occ cards in Geo's Geko deck. Makes killing them really hard.
