the card says,

played to a ship.

if the ship and 2 other ships in the fleet fire all available weopons at 1 target ( not a sector HQ or psy net ) the volley's damage is multiplied by 2. discard after use.

Now besides the engaged ship you play this card on, do the other ships need to be engaged to qualify for the multiplied damage?

A player in our group thought if he had 3 ships in the fleet but not all engaged he qualified for the multiplied damage. we disagreed, what do ya think?

It sounds like all three ships would have to be shooting at the same target... therefore, you couldn't use it unless you met that condition.

-By the wording of the card, no, the other ships do not have to be engaged for the card to work...

...you just have to figure out how to get those ships to fire while disengaged. Good luck with that.....Lobo, being sarcastic in a fun-loving way, not a hateful poop-on-your-shoes way.

The card was meant to have all three ships engaged.

Technically, according to the wording on the card, they do not have to be. But then disengaged ships cannot fire their weapons, and only the one ship would get the benefits of having its weapons doubled.

I do'nt know, according to what this part says there has to be 3 ships firing thier weopons to gain the benefit.

all available weapons on a disengaged ship is zero. Their weapons are not available.

Or, so someone could argue.

yeah we had a conflic about this....the card says all available weapons, therefore they were there, just not available on a disengaged ship, on the other hand, it does say if this ship AND 2 other ships fire all available weaopons.  so i dont know, kinda confusing

I guess the big words are IF and AND

if this ship AND 2 other ships fire all available weaopons.

I quess the way i look at it the card does'nt say as long you have 3 ships in the fleet no matter if only 1 is engaged you get the benefit.

I'm trying to imagine what this tight maneuver looks like with some number
of the three maneuvering ships in spacedock...

Again, i'd like to point out that the card was designed to have all 3 ships engaged and firing.
