-Howdy all. In considering a booster draft for GE, are there any actual rules issues with using two major empires in a deck? The reason i ask is that with Booster Draft of the packs i have acces to (primary) i may get nothing but Argonians and Mechads for deck stocking. Not focused for a deck, i understand, but using the Primary edition only, are there any unbalancing complications if both sides could use Mechads as a major and say Argonian as a minor?

Have a good day.....Lobo

I actually do not know how a booster draft is even conducted. I got out of playing CCGs in tournament play before the concept hit.

But, that is not really part of your question. (I think you might be rubbing off on me, I am going in all of these weird tangents)

No, for the purposes of this, I don't see a problem with you both using whatever ships you were able.

Hell, I wouldn't even restrict it from either of you using several different empires.

Let's look at the most successful CCG to explain Booster Drafts: Magic

Each contestant pays their fee (usually $15) and gets 1) Main release Booster, and then 1 booster of each of the current block. The store hosting the even supplies the basic land, and the players each build 40 card decks utilizing the cards they receive from their boosters.

For GE, considering the abundance of Universe, PotM, TG and Piracy, I would charge the same $15, and you would get a Booster of Universe, and 5 boosters of any of the three above mentioned releases.

The cards in your boosters are yours to keep (obviously) and they are the ones you build your decks out of.

As to empire issues, the way Vince worked it at his Edison meets, You got a starter deck of the races he had available. Since starters are no longer available (The only ones I got from him were a few Allied Forces and lots of CCN) You can always set up a stock race set of one ship from each of the available strengths for each race (1x S2-9) and then dole out 5 boosters of whatever.

Just my offering.

I might be able to help with ships in Quainty very cheap. More for shipping than the cost of cards. Will include a headquarters Gratus Hows a fleet of 27 various strength 1 to 9 ( $5.00 including shipping) Insurance at your expense  All Major Races  Minor Races $10.00 if I gots!!!!
