First off No you cannot play a R/ ship during the first turn. The restrictions allow card swaps and Terrain ONLY. turn one is considered one full turn in which every player plays a Player turn. Also the R/ card cannot be played because the ship does not react to anything. During turn one no other class card can be played except T as per rules. Once the person who played the first card has another player turn, then it becomes turn 2. Anything can be played except the rules specifically state one ship can be played. Now the argument arises, If I play a ship during turn two, can i later during the same turn use a R/ ship....or even play an L6 reserve cruiser to bring a second ship into play during turn 2???? My call at the moment would be yes based on the rule, "cards' rules take precedence". In the case of the L6, there should'nt be a argument, but in the case of R/ships well, I still say yes because you are reacting to something.. Turn 3 begins when the first player's takes his third turn.
Now question, what good would advance preparing a rogue couple do for you, don't you still need a trnasport to take over another's ship. I mean you react with L8 to bring rogue couple into your fleet....then they sit on your ship/terrain.?
