I just went through the member list(I was bored at work) and boy were the results depressing

We have ONE lurker who used to be active and we have lost about 5 members who were long time contributers.3 more long and short timers havent been active in the last 3 months. And we have picked up maybe one semi -active member(ceejee you there?)

all in all quite sad............

well, it surely doesn't help that this forum can for no particular reason kick you off, and if you have forgotten your password, you are sol.

I myself have created three separate accounts.

If this does happen to anybody, please just create a new account.

I think I'm on my forth account now? Life seems to take many people in to other realms but the Excitement and love of the game keeps bringing them back. There's a Sign nailed to a tree on the back road to Stanford (Birthplace of the Game) It always makes me chuckle. Its a wooden 1950's Sedan pulling a beat up ole trailer heading to a long defunct trailer park. The Caption under it says" Don't Despair your almost There", Now the funny in this is theres 7 miles of potholes and twisted badly banked pavement before the sign. Standford is another 7 worse than that roadway. Now what makes me chuckle are the number of tourists that stop and take pictures of the family the pets with the sign when they see it. Now they may or maynot know the camp is gone over to a religious retreat for some unhappy Christian Sect but they all seem to comeback alot slower than when they were headed there. Well Galactic Empires shares alot in comman with that ole camp. At first your excited to be on the verge of something new.  Then you get there and you realize its not what it seems. You retreat slowly and lay low for a while but eventualy the beauty of it brings you back. The same for those tourists they all come back. (This site is not reponcible for my insane rambleings) Sorting Cards ARE

So it turns out most of the active past users are just old accounts for current users? That's discouraging. :(

I think Tufor and leadersheep are both overseas in europe.  I know one of them is at the least, but I am unsure as to which for certain.

SteveZ and GreyDeath were two of my friends who read these boards around when I first started. They're in my playgroup, although SteveZ hasn't shown up in about 4 months.

I have just created my second user ID (tired of waiting for response with new password). I have some pals in my old game group (several moves ago) who are all interested in playing again over the Origins weekend.

I came over here a couple weeks ago and have been reading a few things, mostly as it turns out depressing news (and a nice April Fools joke!). I was looking to see whether anyone was still around and it looks like there are.

So, I just today won an auction for 1+ boxes of product on ebay, and was wondering what to choose. I would like to buy at least 2 boxes so as to make some decks for us to play. My options: AB primary decks, Powers/Piracy/Time/Universe boosters, and German gold decks and boosters (can't read German...). I may start collecting at some point (again!) but my immediate concern is play value.

Nice to see some folks are still around, and I'll come back daily for the next few months to see what's up. Post a reply or send me a message.

Go for universe boosters for overall cards.  gives you the most possible races.. 2 boxes for $20.... Time gates boosts overall deck power but not enough for race play.  Problem with universe lots of races but the best base overall.  Stay away from AB primary- mostly junk.  But primary boosters cheapest to get for same $20 about 5 boxes, but most cards not up to date on wording/corrections.  Powers and piracy are fair, but not reccomended as the base from which to start.

Sorry, but did Universe have separate decks for the various races, or are these decks you have made?

These are 100 card starters sets made by companion games. They are sealed decks, with the Rules book included. I also have some of the Allies and Invaders in starter sets but I get 20 to 25 dollars for them depending on what they are. All  of the sets come with 15 to 20 ships and various support cards, the rest of the deck are various Universe cards. They claimed there was enough to play a hand with them. PM me if your intrested. I also have 100 card starters of Comedy Club for 10 dollars though thats a wacky set of cards to play with.

Thanks for the offer-but are those Universe decks by race? If so, which races do you have for sale? PM me with the details if you prefer.
