This post has very little to do with Biegel but he's so energetic and odd I felt he should be included.
However, this post is a bit about Horn tooting as I'm here to celebrate my recent victories over Lobo.
Two weeks ago we played a game with his Dragons against my J'xar. I finally got the deck to work properly and I had two Time Assault teams in hand and a J'xar ship capable of gating a smaller ship back to the hand. Lobo played a dragon and I reacted by doing 2 time assaults against it in reaction. Then at the end of his turn I used the transgate to put the ship and both time teams back in my hand.
Last night I played my Indirigan mushroom deck (just all the biggest, meanest monsters and ships I can squeeze into one deck). It was a brutal beat down. In the second game we traded decks and I played his Dragon deck against my Indirigan Mushroom deck and won. :)
Lobo was a gracious loser and stopped just short of throwing the small child he picked up from the nearby table.
All joking aside, it was pure lucky draws beating him with the Dragons, I drew a shield fiend in response to every big ship he dropped and he failed to draw more than 3 or 4 of them. I also manged to get out a group of very nasty Dargon Lairs that made life much simpler.
Don't tell Lobo this but I genuinely think of him as the better player. He's just had a run of bad luck recently.
...and I am a little bit of Mr. Suitcase, though honestly he's given me more cards - that I didn't own - than I've given him so maybe that isn't true.
Next week, the Krebiz Civil War!! :P
