So whada ya say, Whada ya say! Can some one come up with a way to suspend particular deck building rules and create a format that allows the lesser main empires stand a chance in a game aginst the standard strong empires? If you were God of the Farside (Or maybe just the Pope, Bush , or Hitler) for those who perfer it that way) and could create rules on a whim are there any modifications that you can think of to make the game more plausible.

Kribiz dis, Clydon Dat, Dragons and Pycs lost in the ozone( Wheres the Comander Cody when you need him most) These seem to be the main sticking points I hears so much about. We need to formulate indivual rules that strenghten (But not to much) these races to put them on a level playing field with the stronger races. That will help to make this more of a game where stradigy plays a bigger part in the out come.

Why? why not just let them die?

Then create NEW empires to replace them. Survival of the strongest.

I think strategy plays a huge part in the outcome.
Especially in multi-player format.

Yes, yes, most decks come down to having a lot of the same cards in them, but that is inevitable when you have cards that can be used by any empire.

What if only Krebiz could use Miscom? what if only Clydon could only use Cat Rep.?

See what I mean? You have 20 some odd empires all using the same core set of cards. Of course everybody is going to try to use the most powerful ones.

-Well, biegel, i don't think they need 'help' so much as groups need to take a pill and calm down the competitiveness if thsi truly is a problem.

For instance, if i wanted to play nothing but Krebiz all the time, i would do so and my opponent wouldn't bat an eye. I might even win a few. Why? Because, unlike the majority of people that play card games, we play for the social benefit of chattin' it up and getting to play together. We aren't keeping score (at least i'm not) on how many wins i have versus losses, and i actually *like* playing races that are at a disadvantage. If i win a game with that particular race, i am pleasantly surprised.

Kind of like inour latest booster draft, when i was able to pull out a win even though that big ol' S10 hit the table early. Odds were against me, and i won. Was it because of luck, skill , my opponent letting me win? Don't know, don't care. It was a fun game and it was nice to pull off an upset. But even if i had lost, it's okay.

Yes, i post decks and questions because i want to be a better player and have a better chance to win. But that is also balanced by my primary goals of playing GE with Galaktische, which do not revolve around the win.

Long-winded b.s. over. To your original post, try playing the Clydons as though the craft played to carriers combines with them, adding strength, weapons and shields to the carrier. Play the reactionary ones, dash in the rule that allows more than one reaction card played in reaction to something, you can get one helluva ship in play to surprise yer opponent.....Lobo

That would have been one of my suggestions if the game continued. More useful cards that can only be stocked in a deck with such-and-such as a main empire.

Krebiz Child Prayer- Now I lay me down to sleep I pray my Soule Andy Warphole Keep. If our species should die to night to Heaven I go in a Lobster Boat. To return at a later Date as a Geko as my mate. Amen and Bless all the little Crustations where ever they may be. With a few screws loose and deep apoligy to Andy Whorphole I will work on the Clydon Funeral March I hope the black hole is big enough for all the races headed that way.

Argonians won a lot of tournaments.

They were clever enough to hide their true strength.

They looked non-threatening, but believe me when you see the amount of incident reports that I have seen over the ages, the casualties 'caused by this empire can be stifling.
