I got a couple of requests to see this deck... I'm
not sure why. It is 0-2 in play so far. It lacks focus
and command points. My intention is to strengthen its
ability to deny allocation points by changing its
Occurances and shedding some of the 'alternative'
tactics like the Hazard Recievers, and the crew that
focuses on protecting my ships and enhancing my damage.
My ships need to survive because my opponent can't
engage his ships... and I lost that focus when I built
it.


I'm working an MS Access based tool to facilitate
deck building and documenting. Eventually, I have it
mind for it produce stats for the deck and other things
that catch my attention. This table is a very
rudimentary output from it.

-I'm surprised i didn't see those Breakdowns in this deck. If you take my economy may be hard to repair those suckers, especially the O5. Even if you don't include Burrowers, Comet Impact, Sun Spots, etc to directly attack terrain, including stuff like Breakdowns, Research Mandators, Cryo Convicts and other research allocation things may be the way to shut it down.

I just have my Tufor for Dueling but i have a couple of decks for multiplayer including a not-well-done dragon deck in case we play teamplay and someone else has dragons this week. Later.

Yeah, I thought about those but I've been trying to work
in cards I wouldn't normally use and I've used those a
lot lately.

I'm going to build a nastier version of it to see if I
can make it work and then I'll probably retire it like I
did that Surprise attack Geko deck.

Beau is bringing a Dragon deck he built out of my cards.
I purposefully haven't looked at it but I think its high
tier 2 possibly low tier 1 for multi-player. I built
mine after him and I couldn't find any peace treaties
nor as many Luck Demons as I thought I owned.

In the interest of experimentation I'm bringing a
Pakta'don deck or however you spell that. It's a low
tier 2/tier 3 deck imo.

I am a little confused. I see 11 Vicious Six ships in the fleet that I thought can only support 2 points of minors following a 4 for 1 ratio that we play in our group. My Aqaaran deck has 16 Aqaarans so I can run 4 points of minor powers with Idirigians counting one half. Is my group playing this wrong?

Also, we would not allow the Corporate Gold cards or the Corperate Employee unless they were playing a main power with Corperate in it's name.

Is our group doing something wrong cuz this deck would be illegal at our place as we play now.

Vicious Six and Vinci count as Indirigans i think. If running one of them as main empire, then 2 Vicious can support one Vinci. But you are correct that Corporate Pirates would need the 4:1 to be stocked correctly unless i'm missing a rule there.

I'm not as concerned about the Corporate employees or the Gold card so long as he has corporate ships in there somewhere (i don't think playing corporate as the main empire is required for the employee) but the ship count may be a bit off. He's probably going to focus it a bit before we duel again, so i trust the kinks and ratios will be fixed then if they need to be.

Good eye Blacklassie, every once in awhile we need a kick in the pants to make sure we aren't screwing up. I remember just a couple weeks ago i put two different indirigan tribe ships on the table, both minor empires, and had to step back to figure out if that was legal or if i had to fire on myself first or not before firing at opponent ships.

I don't think corporate pirates are a minor empire, technically. They would have to be the main empire to stock them.

The Corporate pirates are listed in the minor empires
section of the on-line 2.1 rules so I used them as such.

the C10s as my 2 exceptions. I should include one but

The Vinciences ships are typos, I don't have any in my
deck - they are V6 instead. That brings the V6 count up
to 14 which is all of them I have. I can technically
only support the three Corporate pirates. I originally
thought the civilian ships should count as V6 ships for
supporting minors but I was wrong. I could proxy the two
V6 ships but instead I'll just remove the extra
Corporate Pirate and include another civilian ship.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'm not sure why the nice table I posted blew up... I
changed the command cruisers to V6 and the forum started
displaying all of that hideous HTML.

Any idea how to fix it?

About the corporate employee and Corporate card... the cards don't say they are race specific and there isn't anything in the main rules that say they are race specific.

In fact the corporate gold card specifically says, "May be used in a deck of any empire."

At least, I don't know of any rules that say otherwise.

Can someone confirm or deny that these cards are usable?

-Corporate Employee includes a card rule that states "when on a corporate ship" which would necessarily imply that it does not always have to be on a corporate ship. Per the rules:

"A player may use a maximum of 1 minor empire card in their deck for each every 4 cards of the same type that are not a minor empire card."

"Only crew cards with an empire's name in their title are empire crew."

By the RAW it would seem the Employees are a legal play if we squint and pretend they are Corporate Pirate employees (which i don't mind doing). But then, again by the RAW you would need to support that crew with regular crew. The restriction that generic ships do not count to support minor empire cards is not present with crew, so any crew can support a minor empire crew card. Thus, if this was meant to be a official-tournament-legal-we-care-about-such-things deck, he'd either need more crew to support the Employees or remove them (assuming we considered them Corporate Pirates).

But, that's not what we play. I'm fine with the deck structure as-is as his opponent.

The Gold Card is easier as it says "any deck" and doesn't have the red background. But by RAW it is a reasonable interpretation that if we accept it as a minor empire credit card of the pirates it'd just need supported by other cards of the same category. Same here as the crew, though, it really doesn't bother me.....Lobo who needs to add 12 additional bases to his Infester deck by the above rules to cover the Vektrean Bases

I have 16 non-Empire crew which are supporting the Allied Nobles... it never occured to me that Corporate Employees were a minor empire card so I'll need to pull them in and put something else in the Crew 3 slot.

I need to pay more attention to the deck construction... which I find to part of the games attraction.

check out the GF erratta. They have something about empire cards. Anything with the empire's name in the title, can only be used in that empire's deck. (i think)

The Corporate Card is an exception.
