ok to clarify a complete turn. when played on an opponents turn in reaction to fire phasers, when do you discard the ship?

at the begining of the opp. turn or your turn, assuming you used it on opp. turn and your turn.

The card clearly says that it is discarded during your next allocation phase
if it's not destroyed sooner. As a result, you don't get to use it on your
turn. If you're in a three player game, and you're player 1, and you play it
on the turn of player 2, it also is there during the turn of player 3. The
beginning of any player turn is allocation, it goes away then so you cannot
repair it or use it during your turn.

A complete turn is when all players have had their turns. A player turn is
the turn of just one player.

For affects that do say one complete turn, it would be discarded in the 'record keeping stage' which I believe happens before the allocation phase of each turn.

So if you played it during your opponents weapon fire phase, it would be discarded at the beginning of that opponent's next turn.

The R/S1 is an exception to this I believe; if I remember correctly the card
specifically states "your next allocation". I could be wrong though, I don't
have one easily accessible to check.

I played recently and I don't believe that line of text is on the card.

the card says, discarded in the engagement phase after one complete turn unless destroyed earlier. so would it be the turn of the player you played it on or your turn after that player.

the way we play it is the player would play the card on another player turn then use it on your turn, then have it come back around to your turn in the engagement phase and discard it.

i guess we started questioning this and wanted some input. thanks, bignea.

It would be discarded during YOUR turn. On YOUR next engagement phase. Which if played on the player's turn to your right would be real quick.
