my group was playing last night and came upon this...

i had a time knight in my fleet, the one that doubles occurances, so i played a tech breakthrough on it, meaning i would get 4 or 6 cards to play not against my limit, (depending on the strength of the breakthrough), but my opponent palyed a stolen tech.  now would he get all my card plays seeing as the time knight doubles the Breakthrough, or just be able to do it once? we played it that he got to draw 2 and i drew two. we concluded that the stolen tech could only go against on of them?   ok, reading this over sounds confusing so i hope you get the idea.

My interpratation would go like this.  You would play the tech breakthru.  He would have the chance to react to your card play.  He either steals it now or passes up the chance. Then as a card action your knight doubles the occurence card.  He can react to your knight's action but the chance to steal the tech breakthru was missed, but if there was a way to cancel the knight then he coiuld but steal the tech break thru is not a card play but more of a "mystical action" by the power of the knight.

so If he steals the break thru he gets the card plays as stated on the card and you get nothing, but the knight wasnt used.

If he doesnt steal the card you get the card plays and then can use the knight to double the effect.

Because the Tim eknight double the card at his location if it were stolen it is no longer at his location

so, if he takes it, can i still use my time knight to get the effect after his reaction?  since he took it from me in the first place, would i get to use the time knight action, after he is done, or do i lose the card altogether?

With my above interpretation you lose it, The time knight card states he doubles the card at his location.  Since it was taken from his location, he can't double it.

My opinion is that the tech breakthrough is played to the fleet, not a location, so the time knight can't double it.  A time portal, however, is played to a location but don't try this on Chronos.

My group lets you play Time cards on Chronos, so long as they don't affect Chronos. "The Portal's just... resting there."

I think it's silly. :(
