Q#1

The F4 Psycanti Field causes damage with 3 of its 4 functions and I'm not certain if it is card damage or Psy damage.

Since the card does not specifically say that the damage is Psy damage I think it should be played as card damage but I wanted other's opinions.

Q#2

A6 Promotion says

• -Gives a crew card the following abilities:
• -Adds 2 strength points.
• -Allows the crew card to use one of its functions twice each turn or allows crew restricted to 1 function per turn to use all functions once each turn.

Can someone define 'functions' for me?

• Does this mean a Psy can cause damage twice?
• Does this mean a Psy can use a discipline twice?
• If a Psy had the A3 Star Walker card played to it as well as the A6 Promotion can the Psy use the ability granted by the A3 twice?

The rules for the F4 Psycanti field says:

Disciplines:Psycanti

• 1-Psy Assault: Prevents a psy of greater strength than the psy from protecting the Psy network.
• 4-Ion Damage: Causes one point of damage to a ship or base.
• 6-Proton Activation:Causes 4 damage to any ship, base or terrain.
• 8 - Damage Stream:Damage equal to the strength of the psy is caused to one opponents ship, base or unprotect psy.

Here is the second part of question #2...

If a P8 Psy with an A6 promotion on it used his his only discipline to activate the level 8 ability described in the Field above which of the following would be true? Assume that there are no other Fields in play.

1. The Psy can use the level 8 ability twice.
2. The Psy can use the level 8 ability once and one of the level 1/4/6 abilities once.
3. Something else I didn't imagine.
