I play Temporal Engineer to one of my bases on my turn.

On my base, I have a C10 Spiritual Leader and a C8 Spiritual Leader.

Can I use their abilities to allow the Temp. Engineer to "Immediately draw 2 cards." 3 more times? (Once from the C10, twice from the C8, drawing 8 cards total)

I would consider the draw 2 cards a function and your only option because you would'nt be able to send the temp to the discard twice or negate weopons fire twice because it's discarded after that.

Interesting combo, i would in my opinion say yes.

I would have to argue that the conditions for your temp engineer would prevent you from using the draw 2 cards more than once. ust as the conditions for the cyber mage can only be met once.  For the cybermage the condition for the cardplay/draw is the HIGHest mage gets it.  For the engineer the condition within the unction itself states "WHEN PLAYED..."  IMO the card was played and the two Spiritual leaders  cannot allow it to perform the full condtion of the rule which is when played because the engineer is already there.

Even if you argue my opinion, your math is flawed in either of two ways.  First the enignner would draw 2, the the C8 would allow it to perform it a second time for 2 more and then the C10 allow two more for a total of six cards, not eight.

Second, the math is flawed in this way.  The engineer draws 2 and then the C8 allows him/her to perform the function a second time making it twice performed.  then C10 cannot allow him/her to draw 2 more because the C10'S function is to all a C class card to perform a function twice and the engineer already performed it twice.

I am only getting nitpicky because of the meaning of the wording used.  Twice means two times.  If the wording had said "perform a function again" then it would be saying something different.

The C10 affects the C8, letting him use his ability twice. I get what you're saying, but most of the people on these forums refer to twice as "an additional time" so I was curious what everyones thoughts were.

The condition thing makes sense, thanks.

I withdraw my "first" flaw... a flaw of my own.
