We played a really unusual 3 player game tonight and I
really enjoyed it. Lobo played a Filarian deck with no
ships in it. I played a main empire Pakta'don deck. Beau
(an occasional player) played Dragons.
The game was generally Dragon's drawing little terrain
and fewer dragons. Me playing no ships so the Filarians
couldn't steal them. Lobo making a very entertaining
nuisance of himself as he stole most of the things I put
on the table at one time or another.
It was a very fun game as I struggled to play around the
Filarian menace. I passed several turns with only a
super-tanker on the board and a hand full of ships I
couldn't afford to play.
I won in the end because the Dragon sector HQ was down
to 9 when he finally got some 'beef' on the table and I
made about 15 economy a turn to research the Filarians
away.
It was a really fun game. I don't think my deck is worth
much just your average ship + terrain + plus a few
choice crew/monsters. I like Lobo's deck a lot... so
much so that I passed on shooting at him in order to see
how it worked and how I could fight it.
We have another multi-player game scheduled for Tuesday
night... I'll let you know how that turns out.

Has anyone of you ever played a heavy phaser refit to a
super-tanker?
I was just wondering if that might have qualified as a
first... it was a damn odd thing to do and made me laugh
when I had to do it.

Hey, you got to play what you get... a phaser refit doesn't do you any good
sitting in your hand.
