-Howdy, question from previously-hijacked thread. Nothing on the Penguin Monster card says how they go away, and when i ran up agaisnt them last time my opponent indicated that unless the Penguin Monster card said it could be discarded by taking damage, R/M1 Sext Web Crawlers cannot discard them by doing damage with the R/M1.

So i suppose my question is, how do you get rid of the Penguin in a common and accessible way?

Thanks in advance, have a good one.....Lobo

All those L8 Luck Cards? Crinkle? Super Model? Spiritual Leaders? Same way you get rid of a lot of cards.

What Rob said, plus the Sexy Web Crawler CAN kill it. All cards have a Strength, hence that number in the top left corner. And when that number goes to 0, the card goes away.

The penguin doesn't have to say it is affected by monster because the Web crawler DOES.

-Thanks for the feedback. As for the big strength luck cards, i suppose i should have phrased my question as looking for common, lower-strength ways for use against monster-heavy decks.

As for the damage to zero thing, i think we've hashed that out in regard to crew previously. The resulting decision was that crew taking damage from something like, say, H4 Cosmic Rays doesn't mean it is discarded when it reaches strength zero. Are crew unique in this perspective or do Monsters remain in play even if damaged to zero unless they say they are?

Just trying to wrap my head around this, thanks for the feedback so far.....Lobo

"Zero is dead for ANY card"

-I think if you look at that thread a couple pages back in the Rule Base section regarding the crew issue i mentioned you'll find it's not unanimous on that point. And that's the rub, i think, is that i wasn't able to get my one opponent to go with the plain reading of the card on the Web Crawlers being able to damage the penguin. I guess i'll just tally the votes in this thread and if it still doesn't convince my opponent i'm stuck.

Anyway, thanks for the input, much appreciated, have a good day.....Lobo

Try the R/C-4 Trophy Hunter. I hear she's got a whole library of Space Penguins stuffed and mounted...

:)

I change my opinion on this, zero is definitely dead. I know in that thread I'd argued otherwise.

It's ok Rob, we're a pretty forgiving bunch. :)
