-Monsters. Through a couple of card finds i've been able to beff up an Astromorph to pump out 20+ points of damage on one turn (10+ in each Card Play phase) without using cards of strength greater than 5. Monster Overstrike pushes it passed the 20 mark, Bionic Enhancement, etc.
Just looking for pure damage capability here, what Monster combos do you like using to make your pets more fearsome?

Well, make sure you include a Mad Scientist so you can regrow your monsters.

Hello all
I like to put the Breeder on a World Collector to bring back an M4 Planet Gouge each turn from the discard pile. Can do it for 6 straight turns.
Have a good day....Dan

you can use:
R/C5 Veterinarian
R/O2 partial regneration
- reactionary healing points, just when your opponent thinks he has killed fido, he stays arround for another turn.

Are you using the R/A3 Sneak Attack & R/A4 Sneak Attacks?
C5 Renegade Science Officer?
The M10s?

-I have Mad Scientists and the M10s, but no Breeders, no Sneak Attacks, no Renegade Science Officer and no World Collector.
Even without those, i'm looking forward to trying this thing in a week or two, thanks for all the suggestions.....Lobo

make sure you support your monsters with things like R/M3 Space Vertigo that effects crew. Don't want a Super Model wreaking havoc.

What is it with this forum... everyone loves Lobo, everyone helps Lobo, people send Lobo cards, BLEAH!!!
Good grief, you'd think his last name was Potter.
Lobo Potter... and I'm pretty sure he has Hog Warts somewhere on his person! :P

squeaky wheel.
Just so as not to show favoritism. Do you want some help against Lobo?
Stock crew strength 1-3 science officers. Hell, you could throw in strength4 and 6 as well, but I think the slots for those could be used for more important crew.
Stock R/T2 Asteroid Shields. Amazingly they protect against just about anything, including Monsters. (Did we fix this with the Universe printing?)

Now back to helping Lobo.
Use A5 Temporal Comprehension as well. You get to use those Astromorphs twice a turn.
Use Time Jump to have them attack on your opponent's turn.

In the interest of full disclosure... I don't really mind if you guys help Lobo. I don't mind at all... in fact I think you should come down to Tulsa and shuffle his deck for him. Maybe rub his feet in between card draws.
:P

-I'm good at asking for help, ideas, and general info to help me process the games i play and get different takes on playing options and facets of the game i may be unfamiliar with...
Galaktische is good at whining...
I can't help it if my charm, good looks and stylish shoes make everyone love them some Lobo. That's it, i've decided to start referring to myself in the third person, like all the greats...
Rickey Henderson. Bob Dole. Miley Cyrus.

How can I get Lobo's now swollen Melon Head through the door on Monday so that we can play cards?
...anyone, Bueller...?

Well, I would suggest chopping him up into smaller bits, but that's just me.
Oh, wait, you wanted to play cards afterward...
Hmmm... we never did print that A1 Hot Butter to go with the T4 Rock Lobster, did we?
How about some A1 Steak Sauce? Will that work?

The truth is he's greasy enough that he can probably squeeze through on his own.
On a serious note, a card damage based deck, which is where Lobo is going I believe, are hard to deal with. A lot of the damage mitgation strategies in GE don't work against card damage.
I think this monster deck of his is going to be hard to fight without a lot of specialization... the average deck I build wont stand a chance against it.

check out my Orgon deck in the Help Wanted post (Now it's been stickied)
Orgon's specialize in card damage, and Dragons and Monsters work well together with healing points.
It should be fairly nasty, and as you say, a lot of defense strategies do not work against them.
You should be able to maximize the deck a little better since according to Eagle's deck design limitations you couldn't use certain cards. And, I was trying to use cards that aren't seen in every deck.

I am sending the Lobo group an A6 Breeder for them to fight over, but it seems they do not know what one is so the card reads:
-Played to a monster of equal or greater strength.
-Each turn, remove the top most monster of equal or lesser strength from the discard pile to the fleet.
-Discarded after the number of monsters bred exceeds the strength of this card.
So once you play an M4 Planet Gouge, you can bring it back again for use 7 times plus your original use for a total of 8 attacks with one Planet Gouge. It works best played to monsters like the Time Defiler that cannot be fired upon.
Have fun fighting over it ......Dan

-In the interest of trying this out as a duel strategy i threw together a deck yesterday with these topics in mind. The deck didn't shape up as well and as tight as i had hoped, it's definitely a tier 2-3 duel deck but i'm going to try it out Monday and will report back. Thanks for all the comments so far.
